He is assisted by two Deputy Rectors for academics and Administration Respectively. Immediately below the Rector is the Head of Administration who is commonly known as the Registrar. He is responsible to the Rector for the day-to-day administration of the polytechnic and performing such Other duties as the council or as the case may be, the rector may from time to time require him to do. He is secretary to the council, the Academic Board and any Committee of the council and he attends all the meetings of those bodies unless excused for good reason. The polytechnic Operates a collegiate system with five colleges. Each college is headed by a Director who has respective heads of departments answerable to him for the effective running of the college. College Directors report to the Rector. The Director Works and Services, the chief Librarian and the Bursar are all administrative heads of their respective departments and they report directly to the Rector too.
